This looks awesome. Love in-depth coverage of the classics ❤️

I started losing interest in Big Bang when I realised it’s mocking the whole nerdom thing rather than celebrating it. It gained something with the introduction of the woman but I never finished it.

To be fair I like Friends but Ross is one of sitcom’s most hateful characters (he’s a narcissist and I never like those) while Racheal is just massively unlikable. It’s really homophobic as well. In fact it’s flaws become really apparent when you binge it. I still enjoy it, but it’s very of its time

It was, it was more of a dig at Friends and Big Bang to be honest 😉
retrogamerdaz.bsky.social
Probably because we’re both on the Spectrum 😂
retrogamerdaz.bsky.social
True, but Community is so subversive I don’t consider it a sitcom.

They’re got the best bromance since Turk and JD

Ted Lasso is great ❤️. I think the thing for me with Brooklyn is that unlike the likes of friends, frasier, big bang etc, there’s no characters I don’t love and the growth the all have is exceptional.
I don’t think it’s going to age in the way shows like Friends have as it’s already so progressive

See I like the last two seasons. It’s got one of the best endings for a series too, up there with Parks & Recreation for me.
retrogamerdaz.bsky.social
Yes, but I don’t think it’s a patch on Brooklyn Nine Nine
retrogamerdaz.bsky.social
If there’s a better sitcom than Brooklyn Nine Nine, I’ve never seen it.
retrogamerdaz.bsky.social
Nah, I watch those at lunch

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

257) We used to run a yearly festive-themed article focussed on Christmas hames but stopped it due to the issue arriving so late for overseas readers. Plus we run out of good games to cover.

256) Desert Island Discs features a developer picking eight of their favourite videogames. Eugene Jarvis’ Robotron 2048 is one of the most popular choices by a wide margin.

254) Issue 45’s Nights cover is the only time we’ve featured glitter on the cover.

253) There are 13 issues of Retro Gamer a year, with one annual that features most of that year’s best cover features.

I thought Weapons was a magnificent movie. So nice to see a film nowadays where the trailer gives you no real clue as to where it’s going.
