I'm reminded of the old Hindu parable about the man who spent his whole life denying and loathing the god Krishna.

Because that meant he constantly kept the thought of Krishna in mind, when he died he ascended and became one with Krishna.

Nearly all my (admittedly limited) ebook sales have been with Kobo (done via Draft2Digital) or with itch(.io).

Ultimately, my anecdote made plural isn't data, so your book and marketing may give different results. (Keep in mind that the past few months have been slow on book sales for everyone.)

There's basically two approaches here: go for Kindle Unlimited for some guaranteed money and stub your story on Royal Road, or aim wide (putting it out on as many storefronts as you desire) and continue on RR as usual.

Most people I've seen end up choosing the former. I went the latter route.

It's apparently an archaic spelling no one uses any more, not even in the UK.

My best guess is that the article writer is only familiar with U.S. English, and attempted to "British-ize" it or something. It makes no sense otherwise.
