It's a small town in a remote area, so not a lot of services. But her sister and BIL live in town and will be checking regularly (sister is formidable), other family and friends are in town. She also has a companion who will visit daily.

Thank you! Unfortunately we had to buy a new bed for her as they recommend a twin and she has a queen, so new bedding too. But lots of furnishings from home, she has a bay window with plants from home. Can't really operate a phone anymore, which is hard (she has PPA which lacks standard stages).

FWIW, the meaning of the quote, which is a paraphrase of Ziblatt, is that the Republican Party be strong enough to eject Nazis. It’s not a comment about giving them power.

The Pelosi quote means the opposite of what this asshole claims.

Farm fact: the South is famous for clayey red soil, but a lot of it is actually... sand. Like beach sand. See the yellow on the map here.

Why? It IS beach sand. That's where the shoreline was during the Cretaceous.

My favorite GC won't touch a gas fitting except to turn it off before demo - his insurance explicitly bans any installs, even without a fitting change. It surprises me that a super's insurance would!

Honestly, after a very bad install on my own gas cooktop, I'm team plumber-only too.
