Very moving...

How Thatcher's privatisation of the water industry in the 1980s covered up the cause of a mass poisoning of people in North Cornwall with an aluminium chemical.

The Tories were scared the incident would prevent investment in the water companies.

Disgusting.

First really noticeable when he refused any reference to Brexit after June 2016 unless it was to further the dreams & fortunes of the criminal brexiters.

John Smith and James Pratt were executed for Sodomy, the last 2 people to face this punishment in the UK, although it remained a capital crime until 1861.
James was a stable worker, John a labourer. Despite pleas for mercy, their sentence went ahead.

What we're seeing with all this new data is that the Brexit damage is only getting worse as time goes on. Companies aren't "adjusting". They're either leaving, downscaling or going under. From manufacturing to services to culture to farming & fishing, the decline is snowballing rhe longer we're out.
New analysis by the politically neutral House of Commons library says that Brexit:

- cost the average Briton between £2,700 and £3,700

- lost the Treasury up to £90bn a year tax revenue.

Rachel Reeves budget options could have been very different!

Zelenskyy is a political giant. The UK and our friends in Continental Europe must do all we can to support Ukraine in its hour of need.
To do otherwise will shame the country.

Tether, which Farage promoted on LBC in September, has been described as a money-launderer’s “dream currency” by the Economist.

While Reform is keen to highlight the positives of crypto, the party is rather less interested in acknowledging its downsides.

Harborne, one of the UK’s biggest political donors, gave around £10m in 2019 and 2020, when Reform was known as the Brexit Party. He also covered two of Farage's trips to the US.

Harborne also happens to be a shareholder in the crypto exchange Bitfinex and the stablecoin Tether.

The value of Fuel Duty is now at historic lows, having fallen by 23p per litre (or a third) in real terms over the past decade.

It would cost £5 billion *per year* to continue the freeze by the end of the decade.

Instead, smaller quarterly increases should be introduced.

I have now listened to the speech and most of the debate..Mahmood was outstanding..the policy is strong and the hysterical responses before this should shame everyone who made them or repeated them ! This is not perfect but it’s so much better than what we currently have both for refugees and others
I would urge people to listen carefully to the Home Secretary's full speech in the Commons on Asylum & consider the full range of measures, the examples & the comments on other countries.

You don't have to like it all, but there ARE things which many have called for.

Here is the first 3 mins.

He’s sly, he’s divisive, he has, at best, a tenuous relationship with the truth.
His avarice for wealth and power knows no bounds.
Many of his acquaintances have friends who wish this country ill.
Yet, the ignorant fawn over him.

1975 was BEFORE Margaret Thatcher (1979).

The reason Britain is worse is because of her.

U.S. pharma companies recently threatened to abandon the UK unless the NHS pays more for its medicines.

They also donated millions to Trump’s campaign and inauguration
