A bloke walks about a bit, takes photos. Sometimes sells them: https://linktr.ee/uphilldda #art #photography #nature #poetry & #prose: https://ablokedyslexic.wordpress.com/ I don't follow accounts that only self-promote and never interact with others.

These images show the first time we ever saw the worlds of our Solar System in close-up | BBC Sky at Night Magazine buff.ly/im6wbmd

Interesting article recalling first encounters with our planetary neighbours, and the ingenious science and engineering they required.

I've been told it's #portfolioday so here are 4 of my favourite drawings in pencil, oil pastells and ink.

Mostly, I do portraits, fewly birds. And from time to time I do ATCs of landscapes in watercolor.

NEW: The British politician, his Russian intelligence handler & a Kremlin plot against the US & Ukraine.

My new piece about Nathan Gill and Nigel Farage for @thenerve_news in which we ask:

Why, even now, is no-one asking questions?

😆 It will serve them well for the winter. 🥶

Could be? Perhaps there's still lots of seeds and/or insects about to eat too?

All beries seem to have gone mad this year. They don't seem to be eaten by the birds, though?

Sort of like Harry Potter but with ruffians and no magic at all? 😂

This is a long-exposure image taken just after sunset at Newport Sands, Pembrokeshire, Wales in October 2025. A headland (Dinas Head) is silhouetted against a dramatic multicoloured sky which is reflected in the sea, and a series of wooden posts in the foreground leads the eye towards the horizon.

I can understand that but me and my brother filled three 8 tonne skips with my parents' 'stuff' and another to clear the house before it was sold. Plus many trips to the recycling centre. No-one was interested in Mum's china and ornaments. Sadly. Charity shops weren't keen either.

But it's history no-one wants, until they do in some undefined future where they will all be 'sad' but it will be too late. I don't know what to do about that, Jan? I've just got boxes of 💩 no-one is interested in... 😂

Absolutely. It wasn't uncommon for people to buy a comic for a cover and then frame it. I still think they are for reading but whatever floats people's boats? It is a visual media? 🤔
