playing main pawn only, fighter/warrior. just got to battahl. it's honestly really funny how often the combat music is at max intensity because the game considers us overwhelmed in every encounter. barely ever heard it 1st playthrough
playing Dragon's Dogma 2 again but on a computer that can run it and yeah this game still fucking rules actually

hey, remember when i made that comment about steam last week or whatever? about how at least it's better than egs?

this sucks. like a lot. without really knowing much about the game, and it not seeming like my thing; it still deserves to exist. near as i can tell it's just got subversive themes-
Our upcoming game HORSES was preemptively banned from Steam, with no path to appeal. The game will still launch next week on December 2nd and will be available on EGS, GOG, Humble, and Itch for $4.99. Here is a detailed FAQ covering what happened: horses.wtf/BannedFromSt...

often I think "what if there was a game with Monster Hunter combat but with Dark Souls level design" and realized today that's just Dragon's Dogma.

It's weird to not only have lived through an information revolution but also now living through its undoing, all within less than a generation.
Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea

November 22 1996, Wonder Project J2 debuted on the N64 in Japan!

This life simulation/adventure/rpg is an N64 exclusive and one of two games published by Enix on the console!
It also has a WONDERful English translation for anyone who would like to experience it!
Genuinely one of the best N64 games!

When the typo in AI is fixed, you can see this behavior once again work properly. They will run towards whichever corner is furthest from the player (at the time of the check).

...however, because they are told to run towards the corner for EXACTLY 5 seconds they usually stop halfway anyway. oops.

It’s widely known (and, I think, pretty uncontroversial) that learning requires effort — specifically, if you don’t have to work at getting the knowledge, it won’t stick.

Even if an LLM could be trusted to give you correct information 100% of the time, it would be an inferior method of learning it.
Relying on ChatGPT to teach you about a topic leaves you with shallower knowledge than Googling and reading about it, according to new research that compared what more than 10,000 people knew after using one method or the other.
