i'll add that at least he wasn't trying to strip america for parts, still he suffered from believing he was The Chosen One, and often said he was the only person who could save them. forcing others in the party to drop out of contention and back him, pretending this obviously old man wasn't so old.

My only interest in Tron is around the art direction. The original is my favorite bc the style is one of a kind (why haven't more people copied it???) but I also loved legacy for its neo-brutalism, totally different style, still great. I haven't seen 1 frame of ares lol

I think what's impressive about TRON is that, visually, it's still so much more interesting than any of it's sequels. It's crazy that they tried update this digital world by making it as 'realistically rendered' as possible. It's a complete misunderstanding of the original's charm.

one would hope their own sabotage of america would cause them to lose all support as the economy gets worse and worse, but i just don't see why a well funded army of ice agents and those who fund them would just sit back and let power transfer away, and make them accountable to their enemies.

god i hope mamdani wins as expected, and runs nyc. i don't know if they'll let him though. or at least they'll try everything they can to prevent it. including going after his family and friends, that city is too central to a lot of billionaires who run america.

yeah but that seems a littttle premature. netanyahu and trump have said they want to turn gaza into casinos and hotels, and none of them have shown an ounce of honour when it comes to their promises. until they prove this is something other than the end stage of their genocide i'm not convinced.

LOL right from the premise of the entire book, with the idea that lions aren't actually scavengers, like always every single fact he ever leans on is dead wrong. which can be quite funny in his sci-fi when it comes to dust mites. here though his wrongness ends up as a pretty good actual metaphor.
