I will say that i do agree treating her with the same vitriol you would JK Rowling is bad and maybe even harmful as it may push her further into those beliefs I do think it is unfair to day that pushing her away is losing an ally cause I think the main form of rehabilitating a bigot is to firstly

While I agree in regards to rehabilitation i do have to ask how different those two are since fox news does use examples of gay and trans people doing something bad to indoctrinate people as well one is just more personal

I think one important point has to be exemplified allowing them the space to change does not mean "forgiveness" it just is giving them the kindness that allows them to not hurt other people you can still not like them for what they did but you have to allow them to become better

I do think that there is more hate in the hear of bigots these days (due to the political climate) but maybe the few that aren't fully enraptured by hate might realise they're wrong doings like you did
