The M4A bill takes Medicare and expands it significantly (like adding vision and dental) and corrects some problems with it before making that improved version the default for everyone. It is one type of universal healthcare system. The name just kind of sucks.

We must bring the hammer of antitrust down on monopolies and bust them up.
If Paramount is allowed to take over Warner Bros. Discovery, the conservative billionaire Ellison family will control:

Paramount Studios
CBS
CNN
MTV
HBO
Comedy Central
Nickelodeon
Cartoon Network
Warner Bros.
DC Studios
Fandango
New Line Cinema
TNT Sports
TBS

And more.

My older brother is a cancer survivor (osteosarcoma). My family had to constantly fight health insurance on coverage and oftentimes ended up paying substantial amounts anyways. The for-profit system has failed. Extend the ACA subsidies and pass Medicare for All. It will save lives. #mepolitics

Yesterday we launched Women for Dunlap. Our agenda? Reproductive healthcare and freedom, bringing back the Child Tax Credit, universal childcare, and equal pay.

Together, we’ll send Paul LePage back to Florida where he belongs — permanently this time.

For someone who says she's pro-choice, Susan Collins is failing women miserably.

After confirming the justices who overturned Roe v. Wade, she’s now voting for Trump’s extreme, anti-abortion judges like Robert Chamberlin. In the Senate, I’ll stand up to this agenda — not enable it.

Maine Dems in CD2 say they're sticking with Matt Dunlap.

Dunlap said "he is running for national office because he wants to help the people in his community who tell him they are buckling under rising costs and frustrated with the status quo that is not doing enough to address them."

The more we allow AI to do our research, our summaries & conclusions, and our thinking, the more we lose the capacity to think at all.

The internet gave us the world at our fingertips and increased our ability to find impartial information and draw our own conclusions. AI fucks that over.

Trump attempting to block AI regulation at the state level is absurd. The federal government is far too slow and corrupt to effectively handle AI legislation right now. States, however, have been quite busy in starting to meet the moment to protect people from the downsides of AI. See the tracker.
