Can y’all please be on the lookout for my bike? Last seen in Elliot Park. It is a black Biria bike with red pedals and stickers of local news orgs on the bottom tube. It also has a Brooks saddle and adapters for Wolf Tooth pogies on the handlebars.

As a former community college prof that taught before AI came to be, you do not want to see me coming back into the classroom with my stories of completing three degrees on coffee and street-level Adderall. Celsius now exists and in big cans, nonetheless.

I wrote a 15 page report on heraldic symbolism in medieval armor and weapon design for my art history class the night before it was due (8am class). Made up 90% of it (only found one book for reference) and got an A. GenAI could fucking never.

For women and femmes, know that life gets so much better. Life will change in all sorts of ways. Trust that gut instinct you have and lead with it. Do not be scared of getting older. We start caring less about what others think and start to shine. (I am 40+)

In my dream, the volunteer picked up a laptop I left outside to dry off and she was bringing it to me so no one would steal it. She asked me how I was going to rank the candidates and I think I told her and we started talking about policies for each candidate. When dreams imitate life.

My review of the new Taylor Swift album: I eagerly pressed play on "Eldest Daughter" (I am one) and turned it off before the chorus because it was about online comments. Eldest daughters are too busy to care about online comments so not sure what that was about.

I remain a multi-modal user and continue to want to cut down on my driving because I don't like driving. Getting a bus to North Minneapolis that doesn't take 45 minutes would help. My other bus rides are so lovely.

I also reflected why it was so easy for me to bike when I first moved here. I had A LOT of time on my hands. I didn't have a TBI. And I was 15 years younger. It is much more peaceful to ride the bus (most of the time) but sometimes I can't make a 15 vs 45 min ride work.

I largely "failed" a #weekwithoutdriving but replaced many trips with biking and busing. The times I did drive it was b/c of heat with biking and busing taking triple the time to drive (the usual reasons I now drive).

Day 1 of a #weekwithoutdriving:: took the bus to the coop to get some groceries/did laptop work in the cafe area for many hours, biked to the 19. Very happy I made this pledge to myself.
