Year round I stick my phone on my outside windowsill with Merlin running first thing in the morning while I'm answering emails, looking at socials, and eating breakfast.
Then I take it for a walk, of course!

Fairly uncommon, but not totally rare - I've heard one a few times already this year, as I did last year. Practically never see the lil fella, but hear it every now and again.
Merlin tried to convince me I'd also heard another Pipit, but given that one's a resident of N America, I went, 'Yeah, no!'

Glimpsed something moving in the dark in my peripheral vision, glanced out of the window, and saw the neighbourhood Fox crossing the paved front garden, then flowing over the wall into the neighbour's garden.
