Elon was always pro-apartheid, and killing Lesotho was always relevant to maintaining apartheid. This on’s important, for anyone in colonizing Western countries—because Musk is using those tax-base dollars to do this while hiding in their colonial structures and economic control strategies.

I will say if someone doesn’t cast him as a brilliantly complicated Darcy sometime soon, I will have even greater concerns about the collective wit and wisdom of commercial filmmaking. He portrays internal male complexity intuitively and well—which we need in the classics.

Hoping this would be the outcome. The shockingly interesting work Elordi did in the teen series was really unexpected. I’m interested in (and a little nervous to see) his Heathcliff next year. I truly don’t like that book—much more a Jane Eyre and P&P person.

roberts’s constitution allows for racial discrimination as long as you don’t say you’re racially discriminating, because in a classic bit of racecraft, roberts’s constitution forbids acknowledging race but has no particular issue with racism.

Can you put into words what that purpose is? You and the frog have really become icons of this protest.

There’s been a nice overall whimsy that has shown up. The frog is amazing. We had a bunch of other inflatable people here last night, too. I saw people playing Twister the other day.

What they rely on is fear. So by coming out in an absurdist manner, it speaks to them, to some extent, that we’re actually not that afraid.

It also dismantles their narrative a little bit. When they try to describe this situation as “war-torn,” it becomes much harder to take them seriously when they have to post a video saying [U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security] Kristi Noem is up on the balcony staring over the Antifa Army and it’s, like, eight journalists and five protesters and one of them is in a chicken suit.
