an unnamed (big) company's customer service will beat that. i emailed them like saying this pump you sold me sucks ass and i got warranty. they asked where i bought it, i replied vaguely and they sent a new one. and i kept the old pump. never showed proof of purchase, just told them i bought one

fractal design customer support helped me to work out i had fucked up the motherboard on my first attempt to build a pc, which had nothing to do with them in a way, user problem.
bought a second identical motherboard and was slightly more careful next time and it worked fine

fractal design (case) and be quiet! (psu, cpu cooling) have been brands that stick out in my opinion by being really good, most other stuff is sort of whatever replaceable components
