Klein's column also boosts Marie Gluesenkamp Perez and Jared Golden of the Blue Dog Coalition, a corporate caucus that has:

-killed a public health insurance option in the ACA (!!)
-undermined the major cap-and-trade climate bill
-blocked the Build Back Better Act
-opposed drug pricing reform, etc.

The Blue Dog Coalition, a group of self-described fiscal conservatives led by Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-WA), largely voted for the GOP-crafted bill pushing defense spending above $1 trillion.

This is sometimes read as "look 'AI' isn't working". But the opposite is true.

_This_ is what "AI" is _for_. Push down labor power, push down wages, make employment more insecure.

Mamdani did this without tacking to the center by accepting republican framing and throwing marginalized people under the bus or even apologizing for being socialist; something that party operatives who actually want to win might learn from.
Across the city, more than 164,000 New Yorkers flocked to the polls this weekend for the first two days of early voting, according to the Board of Election, a staggering turnout that nearly matches the entire early voting count in 2021.

And that’s just declining sales, without considering all the regulatory credits that have been keeping them profitable.

But why should Tesla be worried anyway? They can always fall back on their very stable crypto holdings to keep the company afloat until the robots start building themselves

And I'll make one critical highlight: this paper studies the period from October 2022 (when he bought Twitter) through April 2025. That means it only captures the first 10 weeks of #teslatakedown.
Elon Musk's involvement in politics really hurt Tesla sales.

"Without the Musk partisan effect, Tesla sales between October 2022 and April 2025 would have been 67-83% higher, equivalent to 1-1.26 million more vehicles."
