A great write up about the laureates in chemistry! #Nobel

They dismissed the advice of the Clinate Commission because they didn't want to hear it and then created another panel to deliver what they wanted... the chair of that panel, Prof. Nicola Shadbolt (Massey Uni), is an elected director of Fonterra Cooperative! Independent?

How independent is that?

"Farmer lobby groups have welcomed the change, while Watts said the new targets were based on the latest available science and the findings of the independent Methane Science Review released in 2024."

The panel was selected by the government, you’ve got to question their independence! #bollocks

Water bath recryst potential? :-)

Yes, other reagents are more expensive, but I still think I would've put in secondary containmnet to prevent the potential for gold plating the hot-plate!

“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”

It costs a lot less to house people.
Finland ends homelessness and provides shelter for all in need - scoop.me
In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Why? The country applies the "Housing First" concept agains homelessness.

My colleague Dr Anthea Lees will be running during the Run 72 event at UC this week to raise funds for mental health awareness. I've just made a donation, can you?

The Cato Institute hardly is a lefty organization. The liberal think tank shows that despite the narrative of Trump and co, political murders are NOT a lefty phenomenon. Such rhetoric only inflames societal unrest in the US and would be welcome news to the adversaries of the US.

Luxon himself handed me the Prime Minister's science prize last year. Let me say this in plain English: he's an idiot for running a govt who budgeted more for AI than for the Marsden fund. any journo reading this can quote me on it #nzpol

“You can’t bomb the truth away”

My full speech at Wembley Arena tonight, in London, to 12,000 people at the Together for Palestine concert, paying tribute to murdered Palestinian journalists and their bravery, and calling out the silence and complicity of Western media.
