No pressure, 'cause you'll always have the vod - you'd be up second, so ~12:40ish I guess?
I was genuinely wondering how I would deal with that, but I opened up the puzzle first thing and realised ah, no worries, I can get it out the way immediately!
I mean, the checklist was presumably "does he have fur?" and "does he look cuddly?", and since the answer to both those questions is "absolutely", I can hardly disagree!
Henri's decision to have what he calls a "cuddly toy" slideshow on the website is one I fully support, and honestly it's made all the better/funnier that that's the set where he's put Aaron's pic of himself...
It's all really neatly done; the same columnar layout is used throughout, for puzzles and otherwise with the standard cryptics each getting a full page to themselves. Particularly like that there's always a jotting space below the setter's name, as you can see here!
I'm pleased to report that Lionel has got his paws on the wonderful @unchcrosswords.com - we had the pleasure of testing the very clever barred puzzle "Unch #1" by @cranberryfez.bsky.social that appears in the middle of the magazine, and now he gets to show it off to little Louie!

This gives the impression that he was helping. He was not.
He's a busy boy...

Dehumanisation as policy.
It ignores people's actual lives and experiences in favour of some sick idea that migrants are just resources to be used and discarded at will.
It is incredible how Labour has become, in practice, the most anti-immigration government in decades.

Shabana Mahmood vows law reforms to prove migrants 'contribute' to UK society
The home secretary signalled in her first major interview since taking over the reins that she believed migration "has been too high".

Paws crossed we can pull off a nice, smooth raid like proper Twitch streamers do... I'll definitely be tackling @davidjsiron.bsky.social's latest, and then depending on what time's left I think either a handful of minis or the Gennaro from earlier in the week? We'll see how things go!
Just one crossword for us today on #CrypticSunday (but hoping to hand over seamlessly to @pantherapuzzles.bsky.social after that.) Join us at 12 to help solve a new one by @tpgrammar.bsky.social!

So now that it’s confirmed that none of the messages on the bullets were pro-trans, maybe we should have a national conversation about how multiple newspapers repeated a lie about us on their front pages hours after doubts had already been cast over it?
From the Charlie Kirk press conference:
Thank you for the solve! Wish I could have stayed for a bit longer, but I'll have to catch up in my own time...
My pleasure! I hope you enjoyed watching it back as much as we enjoyed solving it, and that it was, if not useful, at the very least entertaining!

It's really fucked up the news media at large is searching so hard for humanity in machines, while systematically denying humanity to Palestinians, trans people, immigrants, and other persecuted people
This #CrypticSunday Replacement Stream Service looks to be a proper menagerie, with puzzles from @heroncrosswords.bsky.social, 🦡 Meles & @catnipxword.bsky.social on the table. Dunno if all these critters are good for the furniture, but let's find out together at noon:

Forest Shuffle is a fun game with lots of cute animals and an intricate ruleset that lets you do things to make everyone else at the table groan simultaneously. Highly recommended.
Well, I gave it a sporting chance, and while I'd say 22a was the best of the relevant bunch, my favourites were actually 2d, 18d and 26d, the latter being a particularly funny bit of surface work!
Quite a few felines today - I approve! 18a hasn't been mentioned here yet, but was categorically my pick of the bunch.
I've uploaded the raw vod of me solving @cranberryfez.bsky.social's recent Inquisitor, Circle Line/Central Line, with the assistance of the #CrypticSunday peanut gallery, so if you're curious about advanced cryptic shenanigans and have ~105 mins to spare, enjoy!

Gentler than anticipated (so good for my speedsolving!), but with all the wit I would expect. Props for having two very neat fifteen-letter entries, and 16d was particularly satisfying. Congrats!

People always joke about the Prime Minister being a human rights lawyer, but what we all forget is that sometimes you're an expert in human rights in order to argue *against* them.
The government's lawyer is making the argument that human rights protections do not apply to cases of terrorism, criminal damage, or national security.
Just now realised why the puzzle title is written like that so now I'm mad again.
