It’s up to the People to push the Democrats to the Left, and beyond. This is how bad things have become. Democrats had huge momentum. But no, it’s time to squander everything. Contribute to every progressive candidate you can. Screw the rest. And support independent media.

I feel much safer today knowing that we deported a Babson College student back to a country where she hasn't lived since childhood.

She wasn't even flying internationally. She was flying to Texas.

6 years ago, as I prepared to host students for Thanksgiving, I received a call informing me Harvard denied me tenure. Before I had a chance to process, it was all public. This year the memory stings more as I watch dear colleagues and friends like @durba.bsky.social experience the same violence.
Why Lorgia García Peña Was Denied Tenure at Harvard

🚨 COMMUNITY ALERT🚨

At LaGuardia Airport, there are several rumored and one confirmed ICE arrest of domestic travelers.

If you are at risk of detention or not sure, exercise caution while traveling. Make a safety plan in case of detention and consult an immigration attorney.

The region is adapting to what Abdulkhaleq Abdulla, a political scientist in the United Arab Emirates, calls an “imperial Israel,” that will kill enemies anywhere: from Lebanon to Syria, Gaza to Iran, Yemen to Qatar. Pre-emptive Israeli strikes are the new norm.
