I disputed a copyright ID on YouTube tonight, explaining that my usage of a small portion of a "Weird" Al parody was in fact not a copyright violation because parody is one of the permited copyright exceptions, and my work is a parody of the parody.

I could be completely naive and wrong-headed, but my understanding is that local and state police are more-or-less prohibited by federal law from interfering with federal agents engaging in authorized federal functions, even if those authorized federal functions are or appear to be flatly illegal.

* Rules to stop corruption and protect individuals don't matter if those in charge don't want to follow them.

* There is no reason to presume that people in power are smart, talented, honorable, or qualified.

* You have to fight for an honorable governing body. The fight does not end.
