Frequent buses, a comprehensive and dense network, and reliable service would go a long way to mitigating the need for heated shelters.

Des bus fréquents, un réseau étendu et dense, et un service fiable contribueraient grandement à atténuer le besoin d'abris chauffés.
As OC Transpo misses targets, Ottawa riders left waiting in the cold
Could heaters be the solution to freezing riders left waiting for buses, or is there another way?

@mayormarksutcliffe.bsky.social can go anywhere in #Ottcity anytime. Imagine a person with a mobility issue that use @helps.octranspo.com Para Transpo crosses a certain area like near the Hard Rock Casino or someone sees their Dr in Greely must pay an extra $12 one way. Most people with mobility
It was great to be back at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa for the Phase 2 opening. It was nice to be there with MPP George Darouze for the opening.

Clarification: There have been more Line 1 incidents this winter so far than this summer, but thankfully most have been shorter than 30 minutes and don't require R1.

OC definitely should communicate their reliability stats in a more up-to-date manner and explain why an incident occurred

It's absolutely not a downward trend.

There are interim measures, such as temporary speed restrictions, that need to be resolved (and is something we all should fight for). But with them, Line 1 has been able to become a reliable train

Pretending the train is unreliable is a big distraction

Line 1 is far more reliable than it was back when it first opened

Accidents happen, not a big deal

This was the first unplanned R1 in months. The line has been significantly more reliable since I moved here back in 2022. I remember there used to be near weekly R1 deployments during winter.

I have my qualms with line 1, but doomposting gets you nowhere.

In a perfect world @octranspo.com and City of Ottawa accessibility office to get this accomplished in an municipal election year any monies recommended will be delayed or shelved unless voters elect councillors committed in fixing it. The quote "We hear you" won't fly anymore
