Clarification: There have been more Line 1 incidents this winter so far than this summer, but thankfully most have been shorter than 30 minutes and don't require R1.

OC definitely should communicate their reliability stats in a more up-to-date manner and explain why an incident occurred

It's absolutely not a downward trend.

There are interim measures, such as temporary speed restrictions, that need to be resolved (and is something we all should fight for). But with them, Line 1 has been able to become a reliable train

Pretending the train is unreliable is a big distraction

Line 1 is far more reliable than it was back when it first opened

Accidents happen, not a big deal

This was the first unplanned R1 in months. The line has been significantly more reliable since I moved here back in 2022. I remember there used to be near weekly R1 deployments during winter.

I have my qualms with line 1, but doomposting gets you nowhere.

Statistic speaking there was a downword trend. We will have to see at the Transit Committee meeting in January what 2025 shows
