I'm old enough to remember a time when politicians would 'do the right thing' and resign over the merest whiff of a scandal.

Now? Brazening it out seems to be the popular route through.

'Something else will come up and distract everyone' is a fairly reliable plan it seems.

I know everyone slates the BBC and that, to an extent, means they're doing an OK job (if the left and right, politically, are both cross it's usually a good thing!).

But the constant push of, effectively, Reform's agenda is baffling. Is it just click-chasing? Or something deeper?

That's 5 per week.

Again, far (far!) too many.

So why is it that 1 or 2 specific cases get all the attention recently?

The answer is obvious when you think about it.

Migrant + Crime = too juicy to resist for the 'news agenda'.

Last year there were 49,600 offences involving a knife or sharp implement.

That's 135 *per day*.

Obviously 1 is too many but the media focus on examples perpetrated by certain groups (migrants and non-white people) is fuelling the racist fire.

I think it's because Tahoe has the Sherman Legislation (implemented in 2013) whereby every home must have a JP Hatch to show the ingress and egress of wild JPs.
