The Tasselled Wobbegong is a master of disguise that can eat a fish almost as big as itself in one gulp. It's classified as a shark, but when it lays on the sea floor it looks like a harmless rug if you manage to see it. But with powerful jaws and sharp teeth they are no fish to mess with.

If you're any of the teams here except FSU and Auburn, why would you turn this kinda game down? You were never playing for any actual championship, your ceiling was always a B tier bowl game. Why pass up the opportunity?

I'm sure we'll have a whole discussion next time a team gets molly whopped in their conference championship about how "that bama team was different, they weren't really that good, etc." There are always exceptions to every situation that the cfb committee seems able to make to wiggle out of problems
The selection committee is going to have to decide on Sunday whether or not it wants college football to continue to play conference championship games.
