You cannot on one hand say you prioritize teaching reading and on the other deny access to the school library. It’s educational malpractice.

Tackling the cost of living crisis goes hand in hand with tackling the climate crisis.

We need food security, insulated homes, and cheap renewable energy.
UK food inflation is being driven by climate change-induced extreme weather, driving up price of butter, milk, beef, chocolate & coffee

The price rises in those staples is contributing 40% of overall food inflation

Climate change is hitting peoples' pockets, right now

Five staples fuelling UK food inflation as climate risks rise, study finds
Findings challenge narrative that food price growth is being driven by higher taxes and wage costs

Excellent thread
I keep falling into the trap of assuming we're the underdogs, but the combined support of CCs campaign parties (43%) represents more than the two primary parties combined (35%) and more than double the remaining contender (18%). #spéirgorm

“Brexit was hugely divisive both politically and socially”

BBC Verify examines its impact including
4% reduction of UK economy and large increases in migration..

And the people who said that #Brexit would help UK prosper and fix our borders are still lying to you

www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
So other EU countries can apparently criticise our president.

But if they vote in the far right or the like - we are supposed to just accept that without questions.

Also someone like VDL could and should be critiqued
There's so many issues with FF/FG stance on what Pro Europe or Pro EU means...

Those issues originate from FF/FGs one way street thinking.

Meaning Ireland needs to be concerned about what other EU members think - which is fine

Except we aren't allowed question other European countries in return

Know Your BL Colours:
No: 53 Vermillion

A bright, vibrant red, introduced in the late ‘70’s, this was particularly nice on the Metro as featured in this classic 1980 launch ad…

Packed crowd at Vicar Street for the Get Out The Vote rally for Catherine Connolly.

Heather Humphreys and Fine Gael want to suppress the turnout of young and working class voters.

The answer is to turn out in massive numbers in rejection of their fear and smear campaign.
I wasn't familiar with his IT stuff but I recognise him from Twitter pre Musk.
I fully recognise the name.

He was from Wicklow direction too - just like the letter writer.

I would think ITS HIM

A Tory MP is now calling for people who were born here, those who have a right to be here, to be deported…..

A not a flicker from Tory politicians, their leader, their media.

Not national news, not on every radio bulletin.

Terrifying.

The silence of the Westminster lobby as one of their own backs calls for me — an elected Member of Parliament — to be deported is telling.

No condemnation, just bootlicking of their proprietors and jostling for Zone 2 dinner party invites.

Our media class is rotten to the core.
Yet we are almost made out to be mean if we want to hold them to account

This is it. We're not just voting for a President, we're voting for a movement. We're voting to put aside differences that do not matter in the face of a housing crisis, a climate crisis, and the normalisation of genocide. Our people and our values can no longer be collateral damage #spéirgorm
“There has to be a fundamental change, and the movement that I represent at the moment, I hope that will be the movement that will shape a completely different public where 16,000 people homeless will never be seen as collateral damage.”
Don't worry though.

Heather says America is one of our Allies and that Catherine Connolly was wrong to say we can't trust America.

See the quality of space, variety, outdoor amenity, storage, liveability, enjoyment here.. & somehow our housing ambition is to favour sub-standard, spreadsheet shoe boxes for maximum profit, & to sideline the architects trained to maximise human experience, durability, community & value for money
basically every home is corner or tiple aspect with daylight on 2 or 3 sides

every home has usable private outdoor space (wintergardens that double as balconies - climate!)

wood windows
I've no idea btw if white N14 Sunnys were more stone chip prone than a red one.

But a white one he saw had stone chips on it and he wasn't found of it.
How did colour impact a cars vulnerability to chips??????.

This was actually a factor in what colours my dad *didn't* want when buying his/my mums N14 Nissan Sunny diesel in the 90s.

I think white was one of the no no colours.

We got a red one in the end.

Damn, Zack is so dangerous that he wants... hang on, let me check my notes here - trans people to be respected, drug addicts to get help rather than jailed, to protect our fucked environment and for migrants to be treated with respect... so dangerous...
"Polanski slammed” reports the Daily Express. The person doing that “slamming” is, err, Daily Express journalist Carole Malone.

And the reason? Because I want us to follow a science led public health approach to regulate drug use.
