One of the best movies I saw last year is now streaming on Netflix. Secret Mall Apartment is a beautiful documentary about RISD students who... built a secret apartment in the Providence Place Mall. Part protest/part performance art, it's a strangely compelling project.

I could be wrong, but I have wondered if things might have gone differently if Pretti was carrying a long gun instead of a handgun…
