This. People demanding that we must be subject to their germs has always felt similar to those defending sexual assault as, at their core, they're both issues of consent. "I'm offended that you won't take my germs" I most certainly as fuck won't, how dare you presume to force your germs on others.

I've been this way my whole life. I loved ET on the Atari when I was a kid, and that game is famously reviled. There's no shame in loving, and finding enjoyment in, flawed games. On the contrary, I usually take umbrage with those who hard-line any "this is a bad game" stance as it's so close-minded.

They're attracted to certain trees as they lay their eggs on them. We had a nasty infestation of them a while back, and they loved "Tree of Heaven", which apparently we had a lot around us, an also invasive species of tree. Sure enough, the trees were covered in lanternfly.

I feel like these are basically the same thing, just in a different shape. I bought a bag of the "mellowcreme" pumpkins and they're literally just candy corn shaped like pumpkins. 😅

My yearly candy corn suggestion. Mix candy corn 50/50 with peanuts. I hated them and now I make sure to buy a bag every year. Not a top-tier snack, sure, but definitely improves candy corn to something greater than it is.

Fair. But a few years back I thought the same until someone told me their trick: mix it 50/50 with peanuts. The combination gives it a salted nut roll quality and absolutely raises them up.

My experience was a very weird feeling. It absolutely felt like I was hit by a bad flu but without the flu. Like my brain entered a fog state, which normally happens when I get sick, but then it wasn't followed by anything bad. I would love if all my colds were like that.

Star Trek TTRPG this week. We successfully infiltrated a Romulan facility in the neutral zone harnessing the mind-control powers of the native tentacled fauna. We didn't escape notice of their protector ship in orbit, however. Next week we'll see if we can escape.
