Like the first movie is already explicit that rich people can just ignore the night due to money turning their homes into forts and in the movie about the first purge they -literally- had to send in armed facist militias because everyone just threw parties and did drugs without worrying

There is something funny that some people think The Purge movies are an accurate depiction of human nature without laws when the movies themselves make it very clear that the Purge is a constructed method of legalizing facist violence to, well, purge their opposition and unwanted.
