My parents' generation was super racist, but they took pains to hide it from us. So a lot of young conservatives in the 90s and early aughts were earnest small government and/or evangelical types.

As I said, the overt racists and radicals had to form their own orgs.

I don’t get it. Is she planning to hang out with you soon, at close range? I imagine anyone that concerned about getting Covid from strangers is masked and staying away from others when they must be in public. Seems like they should have it covered. It’s a lifestyle at this point

We have plenty of limits on executive power. The point of the protests is that Trump is violating them and the other two branches of government aren’t stopping him because they’ve been taken over by a racist death cult💕

Incidentally, I’ve been chafing a bit at the “No Kings” thing, because there are loads of monarchies that have more limits on executive power than the US does, but it has the great advantage that it makes Americans who want to oppose it sound, well, unamerican….

Growing up I had a friend whose parents spoke Gujarati and their phrase “Stop drinking my blood” floats through my brain on the regular. That is indeed what you want to say to children but perhaps can’t, due to idiomatic constraints.
