@marketplace.org re the flight groundings - Abigail Disney is saying that private flights make up more than 10% of air traffic. Why doesn't the admin ground them instead of harming the rest of us?

I just called my federal representatives to ask them to tell the Trump Administration to ground only private flights. Do you have the contact info for your reps? www.congress.gov/members/find...

The reason we have an affordability crisis is because the oligarchs are selling at higher markups and developing luxury only items because a little profit is no longer worthwhile.
Even housing is more expensive because the oligarchs use apps to collude on rent.

@kairyssdal.bsky.social did I hear a promo for a beef and climate crisis story? Will you please help me understand why anyone should give up even a hot dog when our AI overlords are going to waste every bit of progress anyone has ever made on the climate crisis.

It's time to start thinking of what's next. Trump proved the constitution is easily ignored (when you don't have a real congress).
He's using tax dollars to harm communities that didn't vote for him. It's the same problem confronted by our founders. They called it taxation without representation.

These people are frauds, cowards and bullies. We will not forget.
If this didn’t happen domestically, it would be a war crime.
It should be a crime to fire at civilians within the United States within certain distances.
We have never seen civil disobedience *or even outright riots* in which short-range is anything but punitive and cruel—it doesn’t aid control.

Here's a photo of my friend and colleague, Jorge Bautista, getting shot in the face with a flashbang grenade. The ICE Agent is so afraid of Jorge (who was posing no threat) that he has wet himself. Please share this photo. Everyone needs to know what cowards ICE agents are.

@aoc.bsky.social Texas v White says states can secede via a "successful" revolt or the "consent of the states." I believe that last line is critically important. I'm sick of being tethered to people who only want harm for me and mine. I want a divorce because this is becoming terribly dangerous.

Hello? Hello! I'm fairly positive I am in the wrong Universe. I need to speak to the manager, please. I asked for a mildly interesting Universe but this one is clearly ALL F'd up. I'm definitely going to need an immediate transfer to anyplace more functional and my money back.

2. Find the current version of the proposed state budget on leg.wa.gov?
Hint: it isn't the one that's supposed to be publicly accessible.
