Anybody looking for a random open source coding task for Blender: the mesh decimators (both the operation and the modifier) don't respect UV seams when decimating, making it pretty useless for lots of tasks. The seams are explicitly known to Blender (not just different UVs; edges marked as 'seams').

Default behavior for github issue when you click "Close Issue" marks it "Closed as Completed". I guess for devs that's fine.
However, 99% of the time a non-dev who is submitted the Issue closes a bug in stb, it's because it's old and NOT fixed, so it's wrong default, and they always use default.
