Folks might not know a lot of people are getting *very* upset that the materials they request are not available in the libraries/archives they're requesting from.

We're getting lots here at the Library of Virginia: requests of documents likely surfaced by large language models that *do not exist*.

The special issue I co-edited on "Melville's Queer Afterlives" is here and it's queer. This issue has EVERYTHING: gay pirates, dirty pictures, racist internet fanfic, Gilbert Gottfried, original poetry, and just so many French people.

Available at your library, but LMK if you're paywalled...

I want to thank 2024 Nora for buying a silky smooth fleece blanket to replace the decrepit white one.

And for putting it up in the closet where I forgot about it.

Lovely surprise

Hot Take of the day: 95% of all "tiny homes" would be better off purchasing a single wide manufactured home and installing it in place.

As a bonus, the single wide could have a ramp up the side, and be way more ADA friendly. Reasonable size bathroom, no mandatory death loft, much more suitable

You could get all seven seasons of Legends of Tomorrow on Blu-ray for $60 (or $51 with coupon if this is your first order from Gruv, Warner's online store!) The first season is a bit rough but if you make it through there is a wild, fun, and very queer ensemble superhero adventure awaiting you!

I was going to have a moral delima about going to Universal Epic Universe.

Its $200 for a one-day ticket in December, so my "No $ for the asshole JKR" goal mixes nice with "Not paying that much for a muffler" goal.

Moral delimma and argument with group avoided.
