The core conceit is that the rebels have won, but there was never a coherent or shared vision of what would replace the ancien regime; it rapidly breaks into warlordism and competing visions of the future.
Turning and twisting thoughts over and around my mind, trying to bring the Sea of Grass - my fantasy setting of a post-revolution, post-imperial land trying to answer the "Are we free? What comes next?" questions. I swear, nearly every decision I make I second guess a dozen times.
