The best way to restore/maintain trust in democracy is to participate in the process to let others voices their opinion. I've worked each election since I turned 18 and I meet the most interesting people.

Yet, there is always a shortage of poll workers. Sign up chicagoelections.gov/poll-workers...

Took the 81 the other day. Picked it up at a hyperlocal stop. Looked to my left and just three lightposts down is another stop 375ft away That is not even a full block (660ft). You bet the bus stopped at it. Even if it was removed, the distance between my stop and two stops prior is under 1/4mi

Excellent explanation.

In sum (please read the whole thing), it's been affirmed multiple times that the 4th Amendment guarentees a neutral arbitrator (judiciary). The Executive branch cannot be a check on itself (opinion differs if one believes in the unitary executive theory). 1/4
An internal Department of Homeland Security memo raises a big question: Can ICE enter a home to make an arrest without a judicial warrant?

@orinkerr.bsky.social offers a tentative take, on both the rights and the remedies.
