We wish @nicolasturgeon.bsky.social well following her announcement today to stand down as an MSP after decades of public service to Scotland. She has always supported GWL, & as First Minister, she officially opened our newly refurbished building in 2015, hailing GWL, ‘…truly a national treasure’

Being one of the original 1999 MSPs, serving (by the time of the election) for 27 years - half my life - and getting to represent the best constituency in Scotland has been an honour beyond words.
It is time, though, for me to embrace different opportunities in a new chapter of my life 💛

As First Minister, @nicolasturgeon.bsky.social strived to work in partnership with our movement – even when we robustly disagreed - showing the respect and courtesy befitting Scotland's trade union movement.

C) Whatever you think of her writing (have you even read it?) she is one of the least ignorant people you will ever encounter
