More of this, please.
LOST writer-producer Damon Lindelof says he won’t work with Disney unless Kimmel js reinstated. I’m hearing other talent weighing similar pledges.
Yes! Read your Uproxx article on it earlier btw - great stuff. Agree totally on it being a classic NYC movie

The irony is THE HOT ROCK written by William Goldman who’d write ALL THE PRESIDENT’s MEN a couple later, with, Robert Redford starring in both. (And I largely wouldn’t have MY career without Redford, for completely different reasons.) Audio here: www.washingtonian.com/2022/06/08/a...
A New Watergate Comedy Is as Weird as the Scandal Itself
The movie "18 ½" has hippies, swingers, bossa nova, and a conspiracy linking Wonder Bread to Howard Hughes.

Some words from some of the team about a Redford film we love.

I picked THE HOT ROCK.

Crimes against cover art. This should be beaten to death and buried in a cornfield.
Sensational writing from Alex here.
While in Warsaw this week, I got to visit the Kinoteka and watch the 4K restoration of Amadeus, with a full house.

What a joy. Hadn’t seen the film for many years and had forgotten just how funny it is - and how hard that ending hits. The ultimate movie about jealousy. Cinema’s greatest giggle.
This is a big one 🔥

For our new issue I got to head to New Zealand to shadow James Cameron for 2 days, as he perfects Avatar: Fire And Ash.

Eyeball-searing subs-cover art by Fire And Ash concept artist Dylan Cole.

On sale Thursday. Available to order online from Monday. Subs copies dropping soon!
Direct from the mixing stage of Tron: Ares… our new light-up cover!

As posted by the film’s director, Joachim Rønning.
Thanks for inspiring me to watch this! Used to love the Prodge 😜
Ha, I came very close to bolting myself.
You should have blamed it on a copy of Moby Dick 🐳
Glad it’s not just me! Don’t think I could ever face that scene again...
There’s a moment in Danny Boyle’s 127 Hours that is the closest I’ve come to throwing up in a cinema: the bit where the knife tip touches the nerve (accompanied by gnarly sound design). Haven’t seen 28 Years Later yet but wonder if there’s anything in it that will elicit the same reaction...
Yes, @chrishewitt.bsky.social and I are shamelessly plugging again, in another episode of The Shameless Plug, talking about the highlights of our new issue - and some tales from various sets.

Have a listen. And please check out the issue: it’s - yep - fantastic. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/t...
