Folks on the TTRPG “beat” are few & far-flung. The weird shape of the hobby, industry, & communities can be hard to grapple with.

What heartens me today is seeing Rob’s legacy of care. I heard right before my D&D game, & I (just a little satellite, quite new) heard from so many in our shared loss.

I picked up MOTHERSHIP this weekend and planning to run a one-shot with it here soon. Conceptually it's so basic but there's just something about the way it frames its game that excites me.

I'm also just REALLY excited to do something spooky this month. Running Delta Green next weekend. >:)

I’ve just learned about the passing of Rob Wieland.

I never interacted with him beyond a professional level, but he was always courteous and dedicated to spreading the love of gaming with the world.

May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
