History, cricket, TV shows.
This is spot on.
The thing about right wing deregulation is somehow it is always about making it easier to drill for oil in national parks and never about making it a bit easier to build housing or connections to solar farms

The over promise and under deliver model will surely cut through to the cult eventually. In 2024 ‘Robotaxis will launch in 2025’ propped up the company. The reality is 30 to 60 cars with a ‘supervisor’ operating in a geofenced area of Austin.
Tesla scales back Robotaxi fleet goal in Austin

The Tesla Robotaxi fleet in Austin has only about 30 Model Ys in use. When we compare 60 vehicles to the 500 cars promised just weeks ago, the difference is huge. Tesla will miss its year-end goal by almost 90%.

Tesla scales back Robotaxi fleet goal in Austin
The announced doubling of the Tesla Robotaxi fleet in Austin only brings the total number of supervised EVs to about 60, a massive shortfall from the 500 vehicles the company promised just weeks ago.

Not convinced that Labour should really tailor its policies to the median 86 year old six bedroom house in Kensington owning voter. (Also I think £4,000 was quite a lot to pay for a house in 1970.)
Her *6* bedroomed house in North Kensington. 6!

The top three are strong- but this is still a terrible list with loads of obvious omissions. (Despite not counting submarines).

Guardian ‘best films set on water list’ has no ‘African Queen’ or ‘The Cruel Sea’. Sorry - but not linking to that nonsense.

Has any other TV show quite so spectacularly blown up after such a good first season?
The erasure of the Heroes fandom thanks to the later seasons is so bad I saw a clickbait youtube title calling it a series "you've never seen".

Look, the show was MASSIVE (for a few months), everyone saw it and then collectively forgot it.

Ronaldo is the perfect ambassador for the coming World Cup. An avatar for greed, selfishness, ego, corruption, toxic masculinity, and lack of consequences for one’s actions.
Cristiano Ronaldo has magically had his ban reduced so he can start the World Cup. There is no precedent...but then he met the President. How depressing...

Cristiano Ronaldo's World Cup reprieve stinks
Portugal star’s magic non-ban is depressingly inevitable

I think there is a better than 50% chance that he has never read the Constitution he swore to defend. I’d bet my house he couldn’t answer five simple questions about it.
Someone has to remind him that he swore an oath to defend the Constitution, which includes obeying our laws.

Someone really needs to whisper in Trump’s ear that they don’t think the US should go to war on behalf of the woman who stole his peace prize.
The US has fought wars for bad reasons, but this would be the first time we fought a war for no reason.
Really looks like the United States is about to launch a regime change war against Venezuela with:

-No casus belli
-No authorization from Congress
-No allies or international support
-No plan for a post-Maduro Venezuela
-No preparation for any sort of stabilization or containment of the fallout

Biggest shift in my lifetime. Alongside this is how cheap and easy it is to get groceries delivered in UK.
on the other hand UK supermarkets are *so much* better than US ones at this point. Just night and day in terms of quality, range, accessibility, and price.

At dawn on the 26 Jan 1969 a very large panda head appeared on a chalk hillside in Laverstock near Salisbury. For years whoever carved it remained a mystery. Eventually some university students owned up to the stunt.

It seems reasonable to point out in any discussion of the Ukraine ‘Peace Deal’ that the supposedly historic Middle East ‘Peace Deal’ has not in fact delivered all that much peace. Something most of the media seems to somehow think it is unfair to mention.
