🎉 Thrilled to see our #MosquitoCellAtlas featured on the cover of @cp-cell.bsky.social ! This mosaic represents 367K cells across 19 tissues, unveiling the complex biology that makes mosquitoes the world's deadliest animals. Beautiful art by @somedonkey.bsky.social meets the #Vosshalllab science! 🦟🎨

NEW: We filed two briefs, on behalf of a bipartisan group of former secretaries of state, urging the courts to dismiss the DOJ's lawsuits against California and Oregon seeking their voter roll data.

These demands threaten our constitutional framework.

I REMEMBER.

In 1981, nearly 100% of people with AIDS died, often rapidly.
I remember weeping.
I remember Ronald Reagan's refusal to say "AIDS".
I remember the brave patients, loving caregivers, and the defiant power of ACT-UP.
And finally the miracle of modern therapy.

Rise up for World AIDS day.
Commemorating #WorldAIDSday is an act of defiance against ideology driven policies that will end our progress to end the epidemic.

Fascinating new research on the molecular dynamics of mu opioid receptor signaling. 🧪🧠
Narcan appears to work almost miraculously, reversing an opioid overdose in minutes. But exactly how it does this was a mystery since the FDA approved it in 1971.

Until now. Biology researchers have captured the mechanism at the molecular level. buff.ly/5VnUILA
How does Narcan work? Mapping how it reverses opioid overdose can provide a molecular blueprint for more effective drugs
Naloxone can reverse an overdose in minutes, but exactly how it does this at the molecular level has previously been unclear.

Socialism is what they called public power.

Socialism is what they called social security.

Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations.

Socialism is their name for almost anything that helps all the people.

Researchers change the locations of spider mite "bathrooms," shedding light on important aspects of social evolution.🧪🪲

It seems logical that having a designated place to poop is a key part of group living, from invertebrates to humans. But it can be tricky to demonstrate this empirically.

Marc, you are a hero and we all thank you for your dedication to truth and justice. We also mourn the fact that so many legal firms sold their souls to the devil to protect their bottom lines. With democracy under attack we need more heroes.
My law firm is currently litigating 61 voting and election cases, including 12 redistricting cases. We have four cases in one stage or another before the Supreme Court.

These cases — and others like them —
will play a pivotal role in whether we have free and fair elections in 2026 and 2028.

Thanks, Adrian! I’m excited to be starting a lab at the University of Utah (theluolab.org)!

We’re recruiting at all levels.

If you’re excited about neural computation, large-scale multi-region recordings, and machine learning, let’s talk!

And yes, the mountains are as incredible as they say!

Threats against lawmakers are not speech; they are coercion designed to freeze the functioning of government. If Congress can’t advise the military without fear of execution, then checks and balances are dead. The House and Senate must formally censure this attack. Call your representative now.
