I saw Sonic the Hedgehog on opening night and the theater was packed with rowdy kids (ages ranging from elementary to high school students). The audience would shout and react VERY INTENSELY to pretty much every scene with Sonic in it.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?
Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.

It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

A dumb thing that I find annoying:
The Sega CD was created to have hardware-level sprite scaling, but Sega never ported any of their super scaler games to the platform!
I wish there was Sega CD OutRun or Space Harrier.

Theaters don’t need to reinvent the experience here. It doesn’t need to be a concert. Enforce phone use, maintain your projectors, bring back honest theatrical windows and hire a staff who cares about it. That’s all. I don’t need a four course meal, props, special guests or gimmicks. Give us movies.

When we talk about physical media, we are often only taking about personal collections but a big part of shunning the current digital ecosystem is supporting your local library. Not just for print books and periodicals but for movies, games and other medias too. Get. A. Library. Card.
