Haven’t really shown yet what I’ve been up to the last year or so, since big chunks of the community migrated here from Twitter.

I’m picking up the camera a lot less these days, but focusing mainly on photographing small gigs, jams, some artist portraits, all on film ofc. #believeinfilm #aberdeen
Good evening weekday warriors, only one more hurdle to go until your weekend / nervous breakdown
So many big sports media outlets got caught out on this one a few years ago

I follow a Norwegian lighthouse keeper named Paal Bjørndal whose whole bit is sharing profound things that are inaudible due to high winds. I love the internet.
Still open, nothing up in the windows etc and there’s people inside. Not going in in sweaty running kit, but I think (hope!) it’s all good
On my way to investigate now. Fingers crossed it’s nothing
Please let it be for a desperately needed refit, or they’re temporarily closing because the heating’s knackered again, or they’re finally fixing the lift…
I did an article for my school’s newspaper when the place opened (as the Spean Bridge Cinemas ‘Lighthouse’, hence the awkward rounded foyer!), my mate and I got a behind the scenes tour inc the projection booth, and were given VIP tickets we were meant to use as a competition prize but kept instead.
The downstairs gents toilets are such an incredible liminal space: because of the low angled drop ceiling, being located in the depths of the building and having no working ventilation it’s as quiet as an anechoic chamber, really weird to experience.
Please I cannot take the loss of another cinema in this city. I cannot accept Cineworld having a complete monopoly here.
Why’s the Aberdeen branch of the Vue cinema suddenly disappeared from the company’s website? 😬
EXCLUSIVE BOMBSHELL:

things cost money
Yeah ok nature, I’ll concede that’s a pretty good one.

We're heading to Aberdeen! 🗺️🎞️

National Library Live, on 8 November, is a free day of talks, stories & activities. Discover maps, film, treasures & more with us and Aberdeen City Libraries.

A collage of square cutouts from maps of Scotland. A Library-themed 'Snakes and Ladders' game, with two giant dice on top. A bunch of cards for a Library 'size matching' game, laid out on a table with a measuring tape.

We take a brief break from sass to earnestly say more colorful graphics like this again, please
A graphic showing the fields of view of different lens focal lengths using triangles in bright colors of yellow, oran, red, pink, blue, cyan, and green.
The only thing binding me to it is how good the Negative Lab Pro plugin is. I’ve tried alternatives but sadly none yet have come close.
This is a day when I regret having home broadband from my mobile provider
That was their opinion, not worth the hassle of arranging for it to come back on a crew change helicopter
My mate tried this once with a goose that landed on ours in the far north, so fired off an email to a wildlife sanctuary asking for advice how to look after it; eventually got a reply back to the effect of “chuck it over the side and let god deal with it”.
Rolled out of bed the way a sack of tatties might fall off the back of a lorry.
I have faith (misguided)
