It's the 30th anniversary of the release of Genso Suikoden, aka Suikoden, in Japan on 15th December 1995.
This is a huuuugely important game to me. It didn't come out until 1997 in Europe, leading it getting bashed for dated 2D graphics as FF7 was already on the horizon.

I think other games should take this approach. "Silent Scary Hill," "Amnesia the spooky descent," "Resident Evil Scary Zombies"

My Sunday Take is you don't need to find a new term for indie games
If anything, maybe call the massive corpo big budget stuff some equivalent of "blockbuster". Or like... "shareholder title" or something. Put THEM in a weird little categorical corner of "what even are you" instead 🤭

The really irritating thing about this is that if I wasn’t building on a Mac, I wouldn’t have found it myself
Someone might have reported it (in beta, if lucky) but they wouldn’t likely have had much info, and I would have had to buy a Mac to test the fix in, or just shrug and say “play on PC” 🤷♀️
