Kind of want to watch Heated Rivalry but I only barely escaped the clutches of a gay hockey romance webcomic back in college and I just can't risk it again

It is kind of hilarious that the MAGA project is finally collapsing because apparently the WH got too big for its britches and started treating its House reps like shit

Except, of course, it’s *not* all he can say.

Cassidy could concede publicly that confirming Kennedy was a tragic mistake. He could call for RFK Jr's resignation. He could schedule hearings, haul the secretary to Capitol Hill, and demand the CDC’s public resources reflect the scientific cannon.
TAPPER: You were the deciding vote that allowed RFK Jr to ascend to the role of Health Secretary. Did you give him too much credit?

CASSIDY: The fact is the scientific community agrees that vaccines are safe. That's all I can say.

Really important to stress that the Crown Jewels of the US higher education system were never the Ivies or elite SLACs (other countries have equivalents of these) but the well-funded, large, cheap, and excellently staffed public state university systems bringing high quality education to the masses.
One of the bragging rights that the US ed system had in the 20th century is that we didn't have education tracks. Essentially, any kid could go to a CC or state school & major in whatever they wanted to (obviously an oversimplification). I fear this aspect of the American dream is dying.

Attention musical oomfs: If I tell you the songs I struggle to hit the note on when I'm singing in my car, can you tell me what voice range I am? I've always been curious but I picked band instead of choir for the music elective in 5th grade because I thought it was "too gay" and I never learned.

It is sort of strange that in terms of a cultural touchpoint the Titanic exists foremost as The Movie™️and secondarily the historical event

I feel like there's something insightful to say about queer lingo's journey from drag culture to Millenial Gay culture (via RPDR) to Gen Z to Millenial Straights and inevitable loop back to RPDR but as some pop culture reference being riffed on in an acting challenge but maybe I'm just ****

As a retiring but still sitting member of the House, MTG has the opportunity to read into the public record documents that otherwise could not be released... and would be protected by the constitution's speech or debate clause from prosecution.

A federal judge ruled yesterday that Trump’s deployment of the National Guard in D.C. was unlawful.

It illegally infringes upon the city’s ability to direct law enforcement and undermines Congress’s local authority, the ruling says.

What comes next? @maustermuhle.bsky.social reports:
Federal judge rules Trump’s deployment of National Guard in D.C. is ‘unlawful’
The 2,300 Guardsmen aren’t headed home just yet, though.
