The far-right in the Netherlands leveraged a housing crisis and scapegoating asylum-seekers to gain power, with accusations of a political class normalising populist agendas and a “hostage” media.

But the Dutch “experiment with far-right rule was, objectively, a total flop”.

Far-right = failure.
Geert Wilders convinced Dutch voters the far right could run the country. What is their verdict now?

Boy, North Carolina Republicans sure don't want the attached story to circulate. I sure hope that this stupid threat from their spokesperson doesn't boomerang on them and have a lot more people read and share the story, which once again, is conveniently attached below. That would be a shame.

Kinzinger: There is an intense cost to that. You see that cost laid out in this film, and it shows why, when people say, “Why don’t other Republicans speak out?” — this brings home that there is a cost to doing so. And we need to, frankly, elect and hire people who are willing to do tough things

Obviously California has issues but this defense of their policies by Newsom is worth watching.

TN is a low tax state - for the top. regressive for the bottom. our services and laws punish working people also (bottom in infant & maternal mortality, poverty, school spending, violent crime, etc..)

Starbucks' outrageous CEO-to-worker pay gap might make you spit out your morning coffee. And we're supposed to believe Starbucks can't afford to bargain a fair contract with its unionized workers?

Q: "What's your reaction to Jesus telling you that you must *give* to the poor, not take away from the poor?"

MIKE JOHNSON: "I don't know any of the details of that yet. I'm just hearing that for the first time so can't really comment."
Q: What's your reaction to yesterday's purge of senior ICE officials? When is it time for Congress to do some oversight?

MIKE JOHNSON: I don't know any of the details of that yet. I just heard about that, literally I was walking in.
