Ooh. Kid! Don’t shake me! - (he/him) - account posts mostly nonsense, infosec, software development, board games, rpgs. Trans rights are human rights.
This post is to celebrate my status as an "ELITE" ps5 enjoyer.

I have just completed my sixth Platinum trophy with Lego Horizon Zero Dawn.

This joins other important and great games like God of War, Ghosts of Tsushima, Astrobot, and (of course) Bugsnax.

Nothing of value was lost.

Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃

We’re getting a few baskets in before dinner.

Love to see Los Angeles lose. Especially when they can't close the deal in overtime when playing 11v9 and their new expensive player gets his PK rejected by the post.

I just didn't like the vibes 6 years ago when I made the call to forbid roblox on my network and any family devices. Nowadays it feels like every new bit of news vindicates me further.

My kid still has not forgiven me completely for damaging his middle school social capital.
Every parent whose career has to do with online safety also bans Roblox.
Every game designer parent I know bans Roblox for their kids

I'm not sure I like that the sparkling water dispenser at my work has a Halloween themed UX this week. No I do not need spooky coconut flavoring or ghoulie grapefruit or whatever twee nonsense is going on.

Just bring back the cucumber flavor option!

Got my foot x-rayed, and the machine had an 8'x1' (2mx0.3m) glowing white panel that served purely to highlight what brand of x-ray machine it was.

Much to my 13yo’s dismay, every time he gets into a battle in Pokemon Z-A I have to groove a bit in a dad-ly fashion as the bass player goes absolutely ham on the track.

Silksong is a great game, and a great sequel to Hollow Knight.

77h to complete "100%", 80h or so for me to clean up the remaining optional bosses.

Even the "low" points are mostly because it's easy to try to eat it all at once and it requires you to meet it where it is.

These guys definitely have a copy of A Song for Travel, and I must find them.
In 2004, Parisian police were conducting a training exercise in the french catacombs and found, after moving past a desk and a tape playing audio of snarling dogs, a fully functional movie theater and bar. When they returned 3 days later, the equipment was gone, with a note: “Do not try to find us.”

The protagonists of #Supernatural (and Buffy or Angel) do not fit in a Delta Green campaign. They are pulp heroes. Not even pulp-horror heroes! #ttrpg #deltagreen

Use a system that supports that style of play more explicitly!

Is #AdventureTime a riff on Saberhagen's post-apocalyptic earth as depicted in the Books of Swords (and other series)?

Watched a YT about Windows 3.1 shareware and they mentioned Castle of the Winds.

I want my babby’s first Roguelike back. So many core memories bound into that game.

(Just found out the original author, Rick Saada is working on a remake, so I am pounding on the table impatiently)

thirty dollars a month for a monthly pass to play video games is insane. it costs $7 to buy slay the spire on PC, another $7 to buy it on your phone, and maybe another $7 for a hypothetical third device. that's your gaming budget set until slay the spire 2 comes out
