My heart was jubilant while reading this story this morning - more than 100 Chinook salmon have passed the former Klamath River dam sites as well as the fish ladder at Klamath Lake and are naturally spawning in Oregon headwaters for the first time in over a century! 🐟🧪🌎

you got the Patriarchy on one side and the Feminists on the other. Feminists apologize, Patriarchs don't.

we're talking GENDER, not SEX. lots of women identify with the Patriarchy starting with Phyllis Schlafaly on down to Pam, Kristi and Amy Barrett, lots of men side with Feminists.

the notion of not being able to reverse yourself on a decision is just stupid, it's a thing everybody has to do in their ordinary life because of error, new information, the evolving situation, whatever. Law evolves, rules of procedure didn't fall from the sky.

in the parable of The Prodigal Son sure the prodigal gets a party but his life is irreparably damaged. What's he going to do now?? It is to the Elder Son who has been faithful from the beginning that the Father says, You are always with me, and everything that I have is yours.

I agreed that "hallucination" is not a good word, LLMs don't misperceive "reality", they don't perceive reality at all. Their output is consistent with their input. ie they are not embedded in anything.

Also I think you're on dangerous ground getting into truth values. notoriously slippery things
