Done. Fairly happy with how it's turned out. My chip carving is pretty shonky (more practice needed) but it gives a nice effect. Painted with milk paint and finished with walnut oil.

She absolutely loves it. Honestly, it's so cute how excited she is when she finds out we're going to play bubbles. ♥️😄
mostlyrambling.bsky.social
No but I should try and do a video. We usually play when Rich is working so I can't film. This is the bubble set:
Two bubble wands and containers of meat flavoured liquid for dogs.. They're in a plastic bag with a card seal.

It's true - you can buy special dog bubble wands and liquid. 😄 If I say, "What about... What about... BUBBLES!" she goes crazy.
mostlyrambling.bsky.social
Yes, bubbles probably. It's her favourite game. 🫧

I think she's got that one figured out already. 🤣

Today's Mavis pic...

Who nose what dogs dream about?

Close up of a German Shepherd's nose as she sleeps leaning on my leg and against the back of a grey sofa.

Rimsky-Korsakov: From Homer, prelude-cantata, Op. 60

(From a projected opera about Odysseus & Nausicaä, the music depicts a storm at sea followed by a chorus of nymphs greeting the dawn.)

Soloists, Moscow Academy of Choral Art Chorus, Moscow Symphony Orchestra, Ziva

I was listening to him a couple of weeks ago actually. I quite like his concertos but I only know them from this recording, which I bought way back in the day. I haven't heard anything else by him (AFAIK).
A screenshot of a Bluesky post showing that I was listening to Crusell's second clarinet concerto fifteen days ago. The post reads:

There is an image of the album cover also.

Mullaghmore harbour, earlier this month.

🧱

#WallsOnWednesday #Sligo
A harbour wall with a line of boats moored up against it. They are reflected in the still waters of the harbour. Above them, there are piles of lobster pots and a couple of cars parked on the harbour wall. There are mountains across the horizon. The sky above is blue with a scattering of white cumulus clouds.

Clérambault: Médée, cantate à voix seule & simphonie

Agnès Mellon, Barcarole

A screenshot of an Alpha album cover. The disc is called Les Déesses Outragées and contains French Baroque cantatas for solo voice and accompaniment.

One from earlier this year for this week's #TidesOutTuesday.

🌊🐾
A broad, sandy beach after the tide has gone out. Sunlight is shining on the damp, rippled sand. The sea is visible in the background and there is a line of hills across the horizon. A German Shepherd is running across the beach and, because of the way the light is falling, she is almost silhouetted against the background.

🤣🤣🤣 I don't blame you - I'll back up your complaint. 😄👍
mostlyrambling.bsky.social
Oh, I missed that... I'll have a look online tomorrow, thanks!

This is what I have so far, plus your two CDs. There are quite a few concerto discs on CPO but I'm waiting to see if they collect them into one big box. 😄
