OTD two years ago, my solo adventure, Yorkshire to the Alps by train (via London / Paris / Basel) and arrived to the the last of the afternoon light on the Eiger - heaven..

This “Tower” sculpture on the Brontë moors is clad in raw fleeces to represent Bradford’s wool heritage. The hound was possessed by it, but all I could think of was fleas and ticks 🪰

Seven years ago, I had badly broken my arm falling off my bike so our #mtb holiday in the #Dolomites was reduced to me watching others ride. Did some good hikes though 😊

At 694 metres (2,277 feet) Pen-y-Ghent is 1 of the 10 highest peaks in Yorkshire. The name is believed to originate from the Cumbric language (similar to Welsh). Pen-y-Ghent likely means “Hill on the Border”—pen meaning "head" or "top", and ghent possibly meaning "edge" or "border"
