Today's Bullshit: Two dudes stole a car in the next state over. They drove it to my state and have been driving around stealing packages off of people's porches... literally across the street, as I was walking inside my house. Cops/sherrif have plate and car info and are chasing them down.

I find Digital Archaeology quite fascinating, which drives my retro tech hobbies. This weekend I find myself starting a project on digging through my own digital history while fixing an old PC and saving its content. My old digital life (15-30 years ago) was interesting and archiving it is strange.

Migrated to a Fairphone 6. Pretty useful (expensive import tariff) phone, even de-Googled. Looking back on my previous LG V60 and LG V20 phones, I am saddened that LG left the mobile market because their hardware was just fantastic in the V20. I would buy a V20 with a modern CPU and radio inside.

I was really looking forward to the remake of Final Fantasy Tactics on Steam... but it seems to include Denuvo "anti-tamper" DRM, and Denuvo as a shitty, lying company can get bent and Square Enix can lose a sale.

It takes a lot of time to play ~120 games and give them a fair evaluation. You have to dedicate time to each to select the top performers, and once that is done you have to fully replay all of the top entries and break down how they perform in different categories for final scoring. It is arduous🕹️🎯😵
Quick update from the #gbcompo25 organisation team: our judges are working hard, going through the ~120 submitted entries, validating them and selecting their favourites.
