I know that feeling, even if not on the same scale. Quite sad about it, but they really drove me to dump my XBL subscription earlier this year. I hardly touch my XSX anymore. I'll be happy to see someone get SteamOS ported over to it, then I'd play it happily. MS really biffed this whole thing.

Whatever we can do to help each other get projects working. Interfacing was a serious topic back in the day, with many books on the subject. CPUs have so many bus concepts.

Looking through some of the old projects, it's much easier to see now which projects were a waste of time and which were really important. Hindsight, I suppose.

My previous PC was an evolution. It started as WinXP, then upgraded to Win7, 8, and 10. I still have internet shortcuts from the 1990s, and some STILL WORK, which blows my mind. Old docs, to-do lists, project archives, early digital camera pictures (640x480 fancy!)

Flying isn't hard. Radio comm and Navigation are a minor pain in the ass. Most passenger jets have a digital panel in the cockpit with procedures and checklists for operation, so it's even easier to get the aircraft configuration right.

Yeah, I have one of my older machines in a box for that. Works great when it works, but I think I'd like to have an ABS-specific hotend setup because that stuff gets super sticky inside. I think INDX would be perfect for that.

I still only have the MK4/mmu. No conversion kit yet, but I'd really love to play with that new Bondtech INDX system and I'd have to upgrade or just buy a new One+ first
