Healthcare in America is in a death spiral.
My position was eliminated despite consistently saving the organization >3x what is cost them to employ me for the last 8.5 years. Hundreds more are being let go by the end of the year.

The main thing that makes it hard to achieve integrated nature and green in cities isn’t density of buildings or density of people — it's density of cars. And the more well-designed and integrated density of people & buildings you achieve, the fewer cars you need or want.

Failed by @kingcountymetro.bsky.social once again. California Ave SW desperately needs protected bike lanes and consistent, frequent transit service along its full length. Buses leaving their stops 5 minutes early, leading to a 30 minute wait before 2 buses right together is unacceptable.

One of the benefits of growing up with dysfunctional parents in conflict is that you learn from an early age to question ALL authority (even the one you currently agree with) because everyone is unreliable in one way or another.
not teaching people to question authority at a young age makes it all the harder to realize the myriad ways in which you are your own authority and need to question yourself. america—esp white middle/upper class—is simultaneously riddled with anxiety, inferiority, naiveté, and ego.
