Ok, how does this lifeboat inflate? Can I even do this without senpais to notice me?

I have opinions on things, especially DC theatre, especially ones that got a major critic to block me on that other hellsite. They are mine, but you can borrow them.

Dear Leader stopped pretending it was ever about Flag Day so he can aggrandize himself while destroying Juneteenth. Guy's cheap, needed that two-for-one deal.

The Supreme Court majority has decided that they are the fact-finders, and the facts are what they want them to be, and quite frankly if District Courts disagree, they can pound sand because they're not the ones in charge.

They're right about the last part. But the damage they're doing is longterm.

As Trump pardons a real estate developer who’d been charged with corruption by his own Justice Department, an unsettling fact appears obvious:

Trump made a right-turn at *abiding* corruption and is now, though his pardon abuses, effectively *encouraging* corruption. www.ms.now/rachel-maddo...
With yet another controversial pardon, Trump derails his own DOJ’s corruption case
There’s a fine line between a president using pardons to abide corruption and using them to encourage corruption.

This is an insane paragraph.

This is at the very least, literally, not "indisputable". The lower-court ruling you're overturning said otherwise, and there's written, public evidence the DOJ said do this for racial reasons!

"Indisputable" just means "I don't care to deal with contrary evidence."
Alito's (brief) concurrence says the "impetus" for the Texas map was "partisan."

This is a response to the lower court that struck down the map, saying there's evidence of racial impetus. A big evidence was that the DOJ wrote to Texas explicitly saying they should redistrict for racial reasons.

What's changed is that the Court has become more transparent in its corruption. There's not even an argument here beyond the implicit one which is: how do you expect us to hold the House without those seats?
#BREAKING: Over dissents from the three democratic appointees, #SCOTUS puts Texas's new House maps back into effect for (and, presumably, through) the 2026 midterms.

The three Democratic appointees, in an opinion by Justice Kagan, dissent.

I'll post the ruling shortly.

This is what government censorship actually looks like: defunding entire fields, deporting researchers, and quite effectively chilling speech that helps people understand how our information systems are being exploited and calls out powerful people and platforms for their bullshit.
For the last decade, the pervasive spread of bullshit & manipulation of online platforms have been widely recognized societal concerns. Now non US citizens studying those subjects can be labeled “censors” & denied visas or deported from the US. Censorship, indeed. www.reuters.com/world/us/tru...

It’s very important not because this wouldn’t be as bad if more of them weren’t citizens - it would! - but because it lays bare what Miller actually wants: mass denaturalization to the point of ethnic cleansing.
I'm going to sound like a broken record by the way I keep mentioning how 95% of Somalis in the Twin Cities metro area are US citizens, but very few mainstream outlets are pointing this out.
